This is a website to host scrapbook ideas, card ideas and general craft/scrapbooking projects completed by my sister and myself. We also host an etsy shop under the scrappingbythecs name where we sell our items.

Depressing...
Bought an old armoire cabinet from my neighbor at her yard sale last week for $15 thinking I could use in my scrapbook room but alas it will not fit. So does anyone want it? I can email you pics. It would make for great storage of your scrapbook items but is pretty nice and hefty. Light wood colored laminate with a pull out side and glass left front door with large shelves. 2 bad will not work for me. Will give it away to a good scrapbook home. :-)

Bummer....
Well, I made the page for the pagemaps contest but was not super happy with it and did not have any appropriate pictures so I did not submit it. I also made a card for the card contest but same deal...thought it was sub-par. Will post pics soon.
Good news- Micheals had cricut cartiridges on sale for 60% off so with Christie's chip in I was able to buy 2 new cartridges, Cursive 101 and a Christmas one. I am excited since it is my turn to use the cricut and soon I will have time to do so.

- Upload all recent layouts
- Place a CTMH order for new albums
- Take pics of my new updated crop space for blog
- Print out the new contests for June
Think I will get it all done? Let's hope so.

Carol's Page Maps Entry for April- Couture Cardstock
Danielle's first Easter where she chose her dress and it was a woman's dress to boot. She is growing up so quickly. This is my entry for the pagemaps.com/blog couture cardstock contest. I wanted to bring out the bright colors of Dani's dress and highlight the spring feeling.

I used the cutest bling gems and flowers to highlight the spring feel and used this ultra sweet title "Hello Beautiful" with the cute little Easter basket and felt swirl in lime green.

The journaling was special and personal to me in that I wanted to remember how much I felt this moment when I looked at her and realized she is growing up so fast. I love the cute little Easter chick and egg with the flowers. I also used felt flowers as a embellishment across the base as well as this really neat transparent with blue felt design paper. Feels very cool.

April PageMaps Contest - Christie's Entry
I had so much fun doing this layout! I love the color pallet of blue, green, and orange! Plus, Jaxson had on the cutest baby blue smocked Easter outfit! I used Blue background with green and blue scalloped felt ribbon with a beautiful blue felt butterfly which I accented with glitter. The pictures top the page off! We had a few really hot days before Easter where we had let him run through the water hose so as soon as we got home from church on Easter Sunday he ran to get the water hose sprayer! He was absolutely adorable! I'm so glad I had my camera out.
I love the accents under the pics! Having three boys - I don't get to use flowers very often!!
The Title is from a Cricut cartridge and I chalked and watercolor penciled the flower accent on the title. I love the white brackets - really make it pop!
I used blue and green gems to create my bullet-list for "Favorite things about Spring"

New website to follow....
So I keep a log of like a zillion scrapbook blogs I follow (nothing like a good scraplifting every now and then). Well, I found a really neat new one today called THE COLOR ROOM. See their blinkie I added here. Well, they do really neat scrapbook contests using an optional sketch but the main requirement is that you meet the color palette they provide. I am in. First contest ends April 16th and the submissions so far are insanely good. Can't wait to join in the fray.
